Meet Sandy Lou:
Your Straight‑Talking, Big‑Hearted Confidante.
Hello, beautiful people! I’m Sandy Lou, a safeguarding and mental‑health certified advisor who can reconcile a balance sheet before breakfast—and sing the alphabet backwards while doing it. My mission? To help you untangle life’s knots with clarity, courage, and a dash of pastel‑coloured wit.
Letter of the week.
Dear Sandy Lou
I’m a 14‑year‑old trying to make sense of the war I keep hearing about between Russia and Ukraine. Everyone’s arguing online and I feel caught in the middle—like two classmates fighting over a locker. It scares me to think of people losing their homes and feeling unsafe.
I wish I could understand why this happened, and whether there’s any hope for peace. Could you explain the situation in a way I can really grasp—maybe with an analogy—and tell me what I should watch for in the news? Also, is there anything I can do, even as a teenager, to feel less powerless?
Thanks for listening,
A Worried Teen
